This journal is three journals in one.

(If they figure out how to import tumblrs into Dreamwidth, it'll be four.)

I've been on the internet a long long time, starting out in AOL chatrooms in the late nineties as a kid way too young to be doing that. Those usernames are long since lost in the sieve that is my brain.

The first I remember, the one that stuck, is tessenchan. I used that name from 2003-2005 on ff.net, and on DeadJournal from 2002-2004. In 2004 I moved to LiveJournal and used that name until 2009.

In 2009 I created my writing journal, mihane_echo, but it quickly became my main journal. When Dreamwidth launched I imported mihane and tessenchan here.

I left Dreamwidth in 2013, absorbed into the floodwaters of dopamine that is tumblr, but returned almost a decade later because I missed this sort of organised journaling with its nested comments and vast fields of icons. Any posts to this journal between 2013-2021 are backdated from my tumblr.

I am incredibly jealous of people who find it easy to journal in paper and ink, who can seek out a volume of their life and just go through it. But my handwriting is messy and my brain goes too fast for my hand to keep up.

So this is the closest thing to a single volume of my life I think I will be able to achieve.
