Sometimes I wish I was pretentious enough to get away with putting

at the appropriate bit of my stories where the first scene would lead into the opening theme. But Im not, so I won't. I hate it when people do that.

I am still playing with the idea to title the chapters after the music cues Im thinking of when I write. (Does anybody else do that? Write, say, an action scene to A Pressing Need to Save the World or a running scene to Corridors and Fire Escape? This is of course assuming everyone has the Who OST in the first place...)

On that note, what DO you write to? (If pop music so applies, don't be shy. I was writing porn to Katy Perry's ET the other day.)

Does music inspire my flist, thats what I want to know. <3

Topic for the day, go! ;B

[Poll #1787329]

Fic is currently at 12,777 words.

And not done. I have anywhere from 7-9 scenes left to write. (Not sure. I havent broken up the climax into segments yet, who knows how long that'll be.)

Some of it won't make it in the final edit, I don't think. I feel like it's important but at the same time there's a lot of word padding as well. (If this was Nanowrimo I'd be all set.) Mostly it's OC stuff because Donna is still amnesiac and so I have OCs driving the story in her place.

I can cut a bunch, I think. Mostly its my ridiculously long-winded description. Im turning into Tolkien with the lengthy landscape porn. It's just Ive never written long gen!fic before, just smallish angst or fluff bits. Im not used to having so much!

Srsly, will you guys still read this? Or will you turn your noses up at long fic and be like "CHRISTAAAMIGHTY Ive not got time for THAT."
